Convention Committee
This President-Elect shall be Chairperson of this committee. The mission of this committee is to plan the annual convention and work with the other committees to inform the membership and keep to the budget.
Subcommittees: Vendor Liaisons and Continuing Education.
Finance Committee
The Treasurer shall be Chair of this committee. The mission of the finance committee is to review the financial records of the annual review submitted by the Treasurer. In addition, members will provide support for budgeting and fundraising opportunities or any duties the Executive Committee identifies.
Membership Committee
The mission of the Membership Committee is to recruit new members to the organization. In addition, this committee is responsible for surveying the membership when appropriate.
Professional Issues Committee
The mission of the Professional Issues committee is to keep informed of changes to our industry, disruptive innovations, remain active in advocacy, ensure the morals and ethics of South Carolina audiologists, and bring to attention any important information in government, whether state or federal. Members are to inform the membership of this information by working with the Membership Committee and the Technology Committee.
Subcommittees: Legislative and Government Affairs and Ethics.

Alexandra Tarvin Au.D
Elevate Audiology
Dr. Alexandra Tarvin, Au.D., the founder of Elevate Audiology, is a highly skilled audiologist dedicated to personalized patient care. With expertise in evaluating and treating hearing disorders, fitting hearing aids and advising on tinnitus management, she is recognized as a leading professional in the field.
Dr. Tarvin earned her Doctor of Audiology from the University of South Florida and holds a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Florida.
Dr. Tarvin’s commitment to advancing audiology knowledge is showcased through her published research and presentations at state and national conferences.
As a certified fellow of the Tinnitus Practitioners Association and a member of the American Tinnitus Association, Dr. Tarvin specializes in tinnitus and sound sensitivity. Her dedication extends beyond clinical practice; she actively contributes to state and national professional organizations, volunteering in leadership roles and advocating for increased access to audiology services within the healthcare system at the state and federal level. She has been instrumental in developing an audiology clinic at the Samaritan Health Center in Pickens County, providing services to those that would otherwise not be able to receive them.
Recognized for her advocacy efforts, Dr. Tarvin received an award in 2017 from the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Her passion for enhancing audiology awareness and services is demonstrated through active participation in lobbying endeavors. Originally from Queens, NY, Dr. Tarvin resides in Greenville with her husband, a veteran, their son, Miles and their dog, Colby.
Dr. Tarvin is licensed to practice in South Carolina and North Carolina.
Special Olympics Health Hearing
Technology Committee
The mission of the Technology Committee is to maintain communication with the membership via website, email, and social media. This committee shall create the newsletter with input and/or information from other committees and/or the executive board. Topics can include legislative updates, relative healthcare changes, letter from the President, winners of scholarships/awards, information about the annual conference, etc.
